Again, I am going to generalize about women from the city versus women from the country, but it is only offered as a thought for your consideration.
It is a good idea to take stock of the place where you live. Do you live in a rural area, small town, or do you live in or near a big city? The ??Green Acres?? theme song is playing in my head right now.
But these are serious considerations. If you take a woman who is used to living in Moscow or St. Petersburg and put her in Hooterville, she is likely to react as Eva Gabor did when Eddie Albert suggested she give up the city life for the country life. Maybe she can make the transition and maybe she cannot.
Russians usually speak of ??the village?? in derogatory terms. My wife referred to the city we live in, Salinas, California, which has one hundred fifty thousand people as a ??big village.?? Truthfully, she is correct. It is the town center for a large Central California farming district.
Of course, in response, I refer to her city of Molodechno, Belarus, with one hundred thousand people, as a ??train station.?? The city is crisscrossed with train tracks headed from Warsaw to Moscow and Prague to St. Petersburg.
We joke about our towns, respectively. We are happy where we live. We look forward to visiting relatives in Belarus and America.
To the Russian woman, the village represents boredom. No stores. No culture. No movies. Gossiping neighbors. Hot summers full of backbreaking work followed by long, dark vodka soaked winters.
Truthfully, most Russians are one or two generations from the village. Americans are three or four generations from the farm. The industrial revolution is only one hundred fifty to two hundred years old.
However, lifestyle is a very real consideration and one you should discuss with your potential mate.
Generally speaking, I would recommend women who don??t live in the big cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kiev. Women who live in these cities have much higher expectations and are less likely to be happy with living in a small town or suburb, which is where most westerners live.
Women from other areas are more likely to have expectations that you can meet and are less likely to be disappointed with life in a small town.
